We were contacted by the local VA about a resident of Goffstown who is the widow of an Army veteran who was active for the Korean conflict and ALSO two tours in Vietnam. She had both knees replaced three years ago, and still struggles to get around. She needs two (2) stair-lifts so that she can get to her bedroom and also to her laundry room. We posted a fundraiser on Facebook and the response has been amazing. We were contacted by a family the next town over who had a stair-lift that had not been used in several years. It took lots of work and even more google searches to understand the guts of a stairlift, but we were able to get it running. We let it charge for a few days then disassembled the whole thing, brought it to Mary’s house, reassembled it, and got it running perfectly. We were pretty proud of ourselves to be completely honest.

We raised nearly 1,000 to cover the cost of the second lift which is on order. Stay tuned on that being installed next week.
